The work of Skye Mason, Maggie Levy, and Karen Poulson conjures a variety of stories and emotions. Varied Perceptions encourages people to look at these artists’ work in a multitude of ways; what they see, what they think the artist sees, and what others see. This dialogue with self is important in understanding and interpreting the way art is perceived.

From landscapes to portraiture, there is something for every viewer to connect with in “Winter Eclectic”. The work features artists including Tracy Lynn Pristas, Jonathan McAfee, James Bohling, Sarah Van Beckum, Teruko Wilde, Bob Maes, Tadashi Hayakawa and Anina Hathaway. The local flare and non traditional pairings bring the show to life.

Longo and Hayakawa have an enduring friendship built on common roots. Both were born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and share tremendous respect and appreciation for each other and their art. It is this commonality which is the spark for this two-person exhibition titled Ikitougou, a Japanese phrase meaning “to find a kindred spirit."

ENTICE featured three Colorado artists: Karen Roehl, Alyson Khan, and Rebecca Zimmerman. While the creations may seem unrelated – a combination of nature, soft forms, and geometry - the paintings and photographs are connected by an intangible allure. The careful variety of angles, lines, and brush strokes aim to create a calming and energetic experience, while exploring what makes abstract creations so enticing.

Candy Coated is a curated display of colorful paintings by Rob Reasoner (Houston, Texas),  Ulla Meyer (Parker, Colorado), and Valentine Wolly (Washington, DC). The exhibit explores the relationship between these artists and the deeper meanings their artwork holds beneath the candy-colored shell.

Vivid Visions is a curated exhibit featuring the artwork of Tracy Lynn Pristas, Silvana LaCreta Ravena, and Ana Maria Botero. The artwork consists of large scale abstracts, some landscape inspired, in bold color palettes.

This exhibit features the artwork of three artists exploring the inner spirits of surroundings and self. Part nature, part abstract, the paintings are a path of exploration, and function as maps of a previously uncharted journey.








ECHOES OF HERITAGE: APR 3 - JUNE 6, 2015
ARTIST: TADASHI HAYAKAWA VIEW EXHIBIT INVENTORY


At the age of 73, internationally known artist Tadashi Hayakawa returned to his country of birth. It was a spiritual journey in addition to the physical one, an attempt for Hayakawa to discover more about who he is as an artist and as a person. Four distinct themes were displayed, each inspired by the landscape and culture of Japan.

Geographically, Artwork Network's three exhibiting artists have nothing in common. Karen Roehl is local to Denver, Judy Hintz Cox resides in South Carolina, and Stuart Clues lives in Australia. At a deeper level, however, the artists' work is connected by a similar exploration of the inner self, and on a larger scale, the land around us.

Artists of the World will present a monumental work by Mary Mito, renowned artist. The work titled Not Until Then, is a five canvas oil painting measuring a total width of 42 feet.  Mito is known by collectors and museums as a meticulous painter with a personal vision that defines her work at once as singular yet universal.
