ARTIST STATEMENT
When I first started taking photographs, it was to capture my mother's garden in all of its glory. My skills quickly grew into sunset shots, seeing as most of my summer evenings were spent on our deck, watching the sun disappear. I continued to find nature and landscape the subjects of my art. By the time college came around, I was ready for a new path, however. After a little encouragement, I started dabbling in portrait work. I found the new methods of studio work exciting, never ending and, at times, extremely frustrating. Even though I found a new genre of photography to experiment with, I never lost my first love of landscape photos like I thought I would. In fact, I have learned that I am looking at light, foreground, background and many other aspects in such a unique way, that I wonder which direction I should take next.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I googled myself today. You know what I found? They called me an opera. It appears that I already have my own website, although it was bright pink and had hearts on it. Not my style. Facebook told me that I was on Facebook. There were less than 0.1% of children in the United States born with my name in the year 1990, but by 2008 it was up to 0.25%! I apparently married a Republican in 1864, settled down in Litchfield and had two children. Google also told me I was a child model, born to a nice SIMS family and can really dance on you tube! However, the best link I found was that I have a horrible accent, have written a book and am extremely opinionated about politics. They said that I am related to a singer named Eric Hutchinson but okay, it's alright with me. Oh and yes, there is a town named after me, Hutchinson, Kansas. Why it is in the middle of nowhere has nothing to do with how popular I am. The truth after all of this, is that my name is Arianna Hutchinson and I was born 8483 days ago. I am a Capricorn and enjoy sunsets and long walks in the snow.
